When developing the OER the following principles will be adopted:

  • Adaptable – OER can be adopted across multiple mediums and learning styles e.g. online, workshop and classroom based.
  • Clear – Language pitched at the appropriate level with simple instructions and layout.
  • Interactive – Engaging formative and summative activities which provide opportunities to learn collaboratively
  • Authentic, current and relevant – Providing multidimensional activities, contexts and tasks which reflect the work role
  • Flexible and accessible – Designing assessment and learning resources that can adapt a range of contexts, situations and mediums within accelerated and self-directed learning
  • Clustered – Learning topics designed with a logical flow and based around the digital upskilling of VET Teachers/Trainers and Staff
  • Assessment of the learning experience.

 

Parallel to the development of the OER, Under IO2 the STEP 3 consortium will set a MOOC Platform for the delivering of the material, aiming at integrating it into an EVBB / EVTA depository of e-learning modules for trainers platform, as a “stand alone” feature while also developing an evaluation mechanism for the training procedure and content, so that feedback is going to be provided and the upgrade of the material can be implemented during and after project completion (See Impact and Sustainability section).
